Dr. Maria Jackson, hailing from Kansas City, is a passionate advocate for empowering individuals through her cutting-edge dental care practice<\/a>, Empower Dental. Diving into her academic journey, Dr. Jackson earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from the University of Kansas. Fueled by her profound passion for dentistry, she pursued and successfully obtained a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Her commitment to comprehensive treatment planning led her to further training at Truman Medical Center-General Practice Residency in Kansas City. Here, she delved into intricate restorative cases, gaining expertise in various dental disciplines such as special needs, operating room procedures, sedation dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Although Dr. Jackson enjoyed all aspects of dentistry, her heart gravitated towards sports dentistry. Drawing from her experience as a former member of the KU Women\u2019s Golf Team, she sought to merge her love for sports with her dental expertise.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Post-residency, Dr. Jackson made the move to Texas, working in a dental office in the DFW area. Over the years, she accumulated invaluable experience, honing her skills in patient care for all age groups and creating healthy smiles. Driven by her commitment to staying abreast of the latest techniques, she earned the prestigious Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), a distinction achieved by only about 6% of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Currently, Dr. Jackson is actively pursuing her Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), a prestigious achievement that would place her among the top 2% of dentists in the U.S. and Canada.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Her memberships in esteemed organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry<\/a>, American Dental Association<\/a>, Academy of General Dentistry<\/a>, and Academy of Sports Dentistry<\/a>, underscore her commitment to professional excellence. Dr. Jackson consistently invests time in researching and attending various continuing education courses, with a focus on custom mouthguard fabrication, high aesthetic dentistry, and digital dentistry. Staying at the forefront of dental technology and adhering to current standards of care remain paramount in her practice.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Jackson finds joy on the golf course, often accompanied by her father. Additionally, she maintains an active lifestyle, spending time in the gym and indulging in her love for football. In her personal life, she cherishes moments with her family and shares interests with her longtime partner, Daymond Patterson II, who is the local Forney entrepreneur and business owner of The Raw Power Team (TRPT) training facilities.
